chocolate chip cookies

1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup butter or margarine
2 eggs
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups flour
2 cups  chocolate chips

Cream together sugar and margarine until smooth.  Add eggs and vanilla and blend well.  Add flour, baking soda and salt, stir until everything is blended together, then add in the chocolate chips.

Drop by spoonful onto a lightly greased cookie sheet, and bake in a preheated oven at 375F  for 8-10 minutes, until the edges become golden brown.

Let them cool a bit before serving.
