car free day

We had almost 30 hula hoops, lots of streamers and the imagination playground from Storybook Gardens, and we played hard in  the spirit of Car Free Day.   There was yoga and salsa dancing to the right of us, and beyond that, there were almost a hundred stationary bikes for a giant spinning session.   To the left of us, there were wheelchair races of the best sort.   It was loud and chaotic, but it was fun and awesome to see community being built right in front of our eyes.    And I’ll be honest, it was a nice change from sitting at a desk day in and day out.    But six hours on my feet has me putting up my feet for the night.   I shall enjoy some silence or at the very most some birds chirping.
